I was excited for a first cook today using @stagbritishcharcoalfrom trees grown not more than 15 miles from home on the @woodhallestate - This red oak charcoal was perfect for a low and slow brisket today: 11 hours stable temperature at 110c in the @biggreenegguk was a piece of cake.
Good to see Stag mentioned in dispatches by @genevieveeats in today’s @telegraph too!

Our Limited Edition 200 yr Cedar Charcoal drew praise from BBQ Bill on Instagram:

“So ‘cedar plancha’ fish. Wild sea trout simply grilled over some very special cedar charcoal. Very light sweet smokey notes on the delicate fish..exactly what the soapstone plancha surfaces are made for on the Kamado Joe..

Comments from British BBQ Society Forum & CountryWoodSmoke UK FaceBook Groups:

Need proper charcoal? Talk to Matt Edmonds and look at his stuff.

Matt produces the best charcoal in the country! Last years wild English cherry was insane!

Regular Customer from Cheshire:

Your charcoal is the best on the market, I wouldn’t buy anything else - will be ordering same next time !

Regular Customer from Cambridgeshire:

“Just got tell you about The Sawmill Mix - Ate on it last night, very user-friendly. Burned well for a good period but not too hot. I’ll be buying it again Matt!!”
